Anthony's Approach to Clinical Supervision

With 17 years of experience across hospital settings, community mental health, correctional settings, schools, integrated care, pediatrics, PHP/IOP, and outpatient therapy, Anthony brings a broad clinical perspective to supervision. He is a Tennessee state-endorsed clinical supervisor providing supervision for therapists working toward LPC-MHSP licensure.

His approach starts with a core belief: technique is not what makes a therapist. Foundational skills are. Supervision focuses on strengthening case conceptualization, clinical judgment, and the ability to listen closely, tolerate uncertainty, and make thoughtful decisions when a session does not follow a predictable path.

Anthony's style is developmental and direct. Rather than simply providing answers, he helps supervisees understand and strengthen their own clinical reasoning while offering honest feedback and practical support around ethics, boundaries, documentation, professional identity, and building confidence as a therapist.
